Which tracker to buy when you do not know yet

There is no device that beats all others: there is one that fits what you are going to sell. A private car, a truck with a fuel sensor and a motorcycle do not ask for the same thing. What they all share: if the platform cannot read it, it is no good however cheap it is.

What to check before the price

That the platform reads it

First thing. A device that is not approved has to be integrated, and that takes time. Look it up in the catalogue before you buy.

Which network it uses

2G is being switched off in several countries. Buying 2G today can mean buying a problem for two years from now.

How it is powered

Wired to the vehicle, with its own battery, or magnetic. It changes the installation and who you can sell to.

What else it can read

If you are going to sell fuel, temperature or driver ID, the device needs inputs for it.

Whether you need engine cut-off

Not every device can cut the ignition. If you are selling anti-theft, check first.

Who replaces it

A supplier who swaps a faulty unit is worth more than twenty dollars of price difference.

Said the way you say it to your client

Exact words you can use on the visit. No jargon.

«Before I buy the batch, I look the model up in the catalogue and confirm the platform already reads it.»
«I do not tie myself to one brand: if I get a better price elsewhere tomorrow, the platform reads that one too.»

Depending on what you will sell

You resell under your own brand. This is who it works for, and with what argument.

Private car

A simple wired device with engine cut-off. This is the volume and the fastest sale.

Freight and fleet

With inputs for fuel, temperature or driver identification.

Passengers and school runs

Adds a panic button and, very often, a camera.

Assets with no engine

Trailer, generator or container: a device with its own battery, because there is nothing to draw power from.

Frequently asked questions

Which GPS devices should I buy to start reselling?

It depends what you will sell. The first check, before price, is that the platform already reads that model: there are over 3,200 approved models and 246 protocols supported.

Am I tied to one brand?

No. Buy from whoever you like, and you can mix different brands in the same account.

What if my model is not on the list?

Most protocols can be integrated. Tell us the model and, if it is already supported, we confirm the same day.

Is it worth buying 2G devices because they are cheaper?

No. 2G is being switched off in several countries, so a 2G batch can go silent before it pays for itself. Always confirm the model's network generation.

Which device works for a trailer or a generator?

One with its own battery, because an asset with no engine has nothing to draw power from. There the key is reporting frequency: it decides whether the battery lasts months or years.

Cannot find your model?

Tell us which one you need. Most protocols can be integrated, and if it is already supported we confirm the same day.
