What is stored, for how long and who sees it

When a large client evaluates suppliers, this is the conversation you must be able to hold without improvising. Here is the answer, written for you to use.

Become a reseller
Our own servers
not resold
Controlled access
and logged
Separated
by reseller and by client

What you can tell your client

Where the servers are

Our own infrastructure, not a service resold from an anonymous third party.

Who can get in

Access is controlled and limited to those who must have it.

What is stored

Positions, trips, alerts and the client's configuration.

For how long

History is retained for months, not days.

With separation guaranteed

Information does not cross between resellers or between end clients.

And with backups

All of the above is copied daily.

Said the way you say it to your client

Exact words you can use on the visit. No jargon.

“Your data isn't on a server rented in nobody's name. It's on our infrastructure, which we run ourselves.”
“We can tell you what is stored, for how long and who has access. No hedging.”

When this conversation comes up

You resell under your own brand. This is who it works for, and with what argument.

Tenders and bids

Where an information security questionnaire must be answered.

Clients with sensitive data

Transport of people, valuables or medicines.

Audited companies

Those who must show where and how their information is stored.

Multinational clients

Where head office asks before approving a local supplier.

Everything included

Frequently asked questions

Where is the data stored?

On our own servers, with daily backup and separation per reseller.

How long is the history kept?

Position history is kept so it can be consulted by date. Camera images have a shorter retention period because they take up far more space.

Who can see my clients' information?

You and whoever you authorise. Each reseller's data is separate from the rest.

The answer you need for tenders

When they ask you to justify data handling, send them this page.
