The Castel protocol

The protocol of Castel devices — also known as Sinocastel — a Chinese manufacturer founded in 1997. Its speciality is devices that <strong>plug into the diagnostic connector</strong>.

It is spoken by the MP families — MP70, MP80, MP90. Going in the connector means no wiring: the customer plugs it in, which is why it can be posted to another city.

Which port it comes in onOur server listens for the Castel protocol on port 6086. That is the port you set on the device, together with the server address. Point it somewhere else and the data still leaves, but the server cannot read it.
Careful with what other sites tell youWhat makes it easy to fit makes it easy to remove: <strong>it comes out with a tug, so it is no use for anti-theft</strong>. For usage control, rental or usage-based insurance, yes. And look for documentation under both names.
