The Coban V680 protocol

The protocol of Coban's V680 and VT680, a <strong>fourth family</strong> from the same manufacturer, distinct from GPS103, TK103 and TK102.

It is configured by text message, like the rest of the house. These are budget-range vehicle devices that circulated widely in their day.

Which port it comes in onOur server listens for the Coban V680 protocol on port 6016. That is the port you set on the device, together with the server address. Point it somewhere else and the data still leaves, but the server cannot read it.
Careful with what other sites tell youCoban is the sector's extreme case: <strong>four protocol families under one brand</strong>, with names that get confused. «It's a Coban» tells you nothing useful: confirm the family from the IMEI before registering a batch, or half of them won't report.
