The PT502 protocol

The protocol of PT devices — PT-502, PT-30 — Chinese low-to-mid range trackers aimed at vehicles and small fleets.

They are configured by text message, with the APN and the server address. They report position, status and, depending on the model, sensor inputs.

Which port it comes in onOur server listens for the PT502 protocol on port 6017. That is the port you set on the device, together with the server address. Point it somewhere else and the data still leaves, but the server cannot read it.
Careful with what other sites tell youMany of these devices come from manufacturers that <strong>also sell their own platform</strong>. Buy the hardware and keep it reporting to yours: if the customer logs into the manufacturer's platform, the customer belongs to the manufacturer, not to you.
