For the reseller

Enfora: an installed base to migrate before the network goes dark

US manufacturer from Richardson, Texas, founded in 1999 and acquired in 2010 by Novatel Wireless. Its trackers circulated widely in fleet and vehicle recovery.

What this means for you: it is not a brand to sell today, it is a book of customers waiting. If you inherit installed Enfora units, they are from that era.

Where the business is: in the migration. That customer already pays for a tracking service and already understands what it is for. Swapping the device is the easiest sale you will ever make.

What to watch: the clock is running. These units live as long as the network they use stays on, and 2G is being switched off country by country. Check which network yours use and warn the customer months ahead, not once they have gone silent.

If you inherit it already installed, start here: devices that stop reporting, which protocol your device speaks and what to check when a device goes quiet.
