LKGPS: the LK family, and a naming trap that will cost you time

Chinese manufacturer of automotive electronics, security positioning products and wireless communication terminals. Its LK family is wide: from the LK106 to the LK670.

The trap, before anything else: catalogues carry LK106 and LK109 part numbers that also appear under another brand. Register the device by the protocol it speaks, not by the brand name — that is the step where everybody gets stuck and where support hours disappear.

Who you sell it to: the general budget market, motorcycles and private cars.

What to watch: ask your supplier for the exact model in writing and test it before buying quantity. In families this long, two part numbers with almost identical names may not carry the same thing.
