Orion Technology: Taiwanese, with a diagnostic-connector device included

Taiwanese manufacturer with more than a decade in automotive electronics and wireless communication. Its catalogue covers three distinct things: EasyTrac for tracking and fleet management, SpeedTrac aimed at security and recovery, and OBDtrac, which plugs into the vehicle's diagnostic connector.

Who you sell it to: fleets with the wired unit, and vehicle rental or usage-based insurance with the connector one.

What it earns you: the connector device is the one that changes your business: it fits with no technician, the customer plugs it in himself, and you can post it to another city and charge the full monthly fee. It is the cheapest route you have to growing outside your area.

What to watch: the connector unit comes out with a tug. Don't sell it as anti-theft — it is usage control, and put that in writing, or the first theft becomes a complaint against you.
