Radio Terminal: not a manufacturer, a distributor — and that changes the deal

Radio Terminal has spent more than ten years in the supply and distribution of wireless data transfer equipment: telecommunications, radio communications, satellite communications, safety and security devices and M2M modules for industrial automation. In tracking you will see its GLONASS Storozh and NaviTech UTP lines.

Why that distinction matters: with a distributor you are not negotiating with whoever builds the device. There is a middleman in the price, and warranty and spares depend on that middleman still carrying the line. It is not a bad thing, but it changes what you can promise your customer.

Who you sell it to: operations with a presence in its home market; outside that, these devices are rarely seen.

What to watch: before committing to a rollout, ask in writing who answers for the warranty and with what lead time on spares. With a distributor that answer cannot be assumed.
