SANAV: Taiwanese since 1990, with antennas and marine equipment in the same catalogue

San Jose Technology — known as SANAV — is a Taiwanese manufacturer operating since 1990. Alongside GPS/GSM trackers it makes receivers, AIS transponders for vessels and antennas. In 2020 it was acquired by Unictron.

Who you sell it to: besides your usual fleet work, the marine world: fishing, working boats and leisure craft.

What it earns you: the marine customer is a market of its own, with very little competition from ordinary tracking and customers who don't haggle, because what they are protecting is worth far more than the device. And antennas from the same supplier solve your difficult installations.

What to watch: AIS is not tracking and is not sold the same way: it has its own rules and maritime approvals. Find out what your country requires before quoting, or you will promise something you cannot deliver.
