The BCE / Xirgo protocol

The protocol of Baltic Car Equipment devices, today part of <strong>Xirgo Global</strong>, one of the largest telematics suppliers in the Baltic countries. It targets heavy vehicles: reading the vehicle's computer and downloading the tachograph.

It is spoken by the FM series — FM Light, FM Plus — and the Xirgo XT2400 and XT2450. If you inherit devices marked BCE, they belong to this same family.

Which port it comes in onOur server listens for the BCE / Xirgo protocol on port 6080. That is the port you set on the device, together with the server address. Point it somewhere else and the data still leaves, but the server cannot read it.
Careful with what other sites tell youThe <strong>tachograph is not just another data field</strong>: you have to know how to read and present it. Without somebody who masters it, this brand will generate support you can't close. And after the change of ownership, confirm spares before committing to an expansion.

The protocol is still handled. Check the network generation, because much of that installed base dates from the 2G era.
