The CalAmp protocol

The protocol of CalAmp devices, a US manufacturer well established in the North American corporate and insurance market. It shows up in deployments of thousands of vehicles, not in one-off sales.

It is spoken by the LMU and TTU families — LMU-1100, LMU-2630, LMU-3030, LMU-4230, TTU-2830. It is configured with commands, using the SIM's APN and the server address.

Which port it comes in onOur server listens for the CalAmp protocol on port 6082. That is the port you set on the device, together with the server address. Point it somewhere else and the data still leaves, but the server cannot read it.
Careful with what other sites tell youIt is built for another market: there are part numbers made for North American carriers that are useless here, and spares can take time. Confirm the network band and availability <strong>before</strong> quoting, not after winning the contract.
