The Meiligao protocol

A veteran protocol used by Meiligao and by part of the Meitrack range.

Which port it comes in onOur server listens for the Meiligao protocol on port 6009. That is the port you set on the device, together with the server address. Point it somewhere else and the data still leaves, but the server cannot read it.
Careful with what other sites tell youIt is one of the old ones: found mostly on already-installed devices rather than on what you buy new today.

Are Meiligao and Meitrack the same?

Yes. Meiligao is the name Meitrack started under, which is why devices and documents circulate with both names. If you are looking for a manual or a spare, try both: it is the mistake that wastes the most time with this brand.

I have devices marked Meiligao — do they still connect?

Yes, the protocol is still handled. What is worth checking is the device's network generation, because much of that installed base comes from the 2G era.

Should I migrate them to the current catalogue?

If the device works and its network is still on, there is no rush. Migration is decided by the 2G switch-off date in your country, not by the age of the protocol.
