Start with what confuses people: Omnicomm is mostly <strong>fuel level sensors</strong>, not trackers. Its LLS range is a reference in consumption control, and it is fitted alongside the tracking device, not instead of it.
The protocol covers both the on-board units — Profi, Optim — and the readings from the LLS 20230 and LLS-Ex sensors. The fuel figure travels alongside the position.

Why does my fuel report come out empty?
Because the vehicle has no sensor fitted. Without a sensor there is no tank level to show, however well the device reports position.
What has to be budgeted besides the sensor?
The calibration, always. A badly calibrated sensor gives figures that look right and aren't, and that destroys the customer's trust in the whole service.
