The Pointer Telocation protocol

Pointer Telocation is the Israeli house behind <strong>Cellocator</strong> devices. It comes from vehicle security and stolen-vehicle recovery, and its units are built to be hard to disable.

It is spoken by the Cellocator CR300 and the CelloTrack Nano, among others. It is a binary protocol: it has to be decoded, not read by eye in a log.

Which port it comes in onOur server listens for the Pointer Telocation protocol on port 6033. That is the port you set on the device, together with the server address. Point it somewhere else and the data still leaves, but the server cannot read it. In the platform this protocol is listed as cellocator.
Careful with what other sites tell youCellocator and Pointer Telocation are <strong>the same house</strong>. If devices or documents arrive under either name they are not different suppliers, and knowing that saves you duplicating inventory and chasing support where none is needed.
