The Sello electrónico protocol

Not a brand: it is the <strong>family of electronic GPS seals and padlocks</strong> for containers and vans. Several manufacturers make them, which is why they appear grouped.

Besides position they report the state of the lock: whether it was opened, when and at what point of the journey. That is the difference from an ordinary tracker, which only says where it is.

Which port it comes in onOur server listens for the Sello electrónico protocol on port 6169. That is the port you set on the device, together with the server address. Point it somewhere else and the data still leaves, but the server cannot read it.
Careful with what other sites tell youThe padlock is opened and closed, and that means an <strong>operating procedure that has to be agreed with the customer</strong>. If nobody defines who authorises the opening and what happens when the alert fires, the device records the fact but prevents nothing.
