For the reseller

Starcom: today it is called t42, and it is still a project brand

An Israeli-origin house in the market since 2002, specialised in asset tracking and protection. In 2021 it became t42 IoT Tracking Solutions, so you will find its devices under both names. It covers vehicles, containers and electronic locks, with a presence in more than fifty countries.

Who you sell it to: international logistics and projects, not counter sales.

What it earns you: foreign-trade customers are among those who sign for years and pay on time, because what they are protecting is worth far more than the service.

What to watch: look for documentation and spares under both names. That is the biggest time sink after the rebrand.

If you inherit it already installed, start here: devices that stop reporting, which protocol your device speaks and what to check when a device goes quiet.

Which protocol it speaks: Starcom devices reach the platform over the Sello electrónico protocol. Its page explains what it is and how it works.
