The SkyPatrol protocol
The protocol of SkyPatrol devices, a US manufacturer based in Miami. Its use case is very specific: credit collateral — finance companies, dealers and rent-to-own.
It is spoken by the TT series — TT8750, TT8850. Besides position, normal use includes the engine cut-off to immobilise the vehicle when payments stop.

Frequently asked questions
What is SkyPatrol used for?
Mostly as credit collateral: finance companies, dealers with their own credit and rent-to-own. TT8750 and TT8850 series.
Is the engine cut-off included?
The device supports it, but it has to be fitted. And tested: if the finance company needs it on the day of default and it fails, you lose the whole contract.
Why is it a different business?
Because it sells by portfolio, not by unit. A finance company with five hundred loans is five hundred subscriptions off a single signature.
