The ERM StarLink protocol

The protocol of <strong>ERM's StarLink line</strong>, an Israeli manufacturer from Rishon LeZion founded in 1985. It comes from vehicle security and theft prevention: devices that are hard to disable, with driving analysis and immobilisation.

It is spoken by the StarLink Ranger and StarLink Vision. It sells by project, almost always with an insurer or a finance company behind it, not over the counter.

Which port it comes in onOur server listens for the ERM StarLink protocol on port 6136. That is the port you set on the device, together with the server address. Point it somewhere else and the data still leaves, but the server cannot read it. In the platform this protocol is listed as starlink.
Careful with what other sites tell you<strong>This StarLink has nothing to do with SpaceX's satellite internet or with the StarLinkGPS platform.</strong> Three different things with the same name. Clear it up in the first conversation or you will waste hours quoting the wrong thing.
