The Streamax protocol

The protocol of Streamax recorders and cameras, a listed Chinese manufacturer from Shenzhen founded in 2002. It does not make trackers: it makes <strong>video for commercial vehicles</strong>.

It is spoken by the M1N, X3, AD Plus and C6. Video travels its own path and consumes orders of magnitude more data than position, so it needs its own data plan.

Careful with what other sites tell youIn Mexico and Central America the same equipment is sold under the <strong>Meriva</strong> brand, backed by the local channel. If documents arrive under either name, these are not different manufacturers.

Frequently asked questions

Are Streamax and Meriva the same?

In Mexico and Central America Streamax equipment is sold under the Meriva brand, backed by the local channel. It is the same video manufacturer.

How much data does a camera use?

Orders of magnitude more than a tracker. The video data plan is separate: quoting it on the tracking plan is the mistake that costs the most money.

How long is video kept?

There is a retention period after which it is deleted, because it takes a lot of space. Anything needed for a claim has to be downloaded within it.
