Streamax: video is a different business, with a different ticket

Chinese manufacturer from Shenzhen, publicly listed and founded in 2002, specialising in video for commercial vehicles. It doesn't make trackers: it makes recorders and cameras.

Who you sell it to: passenger transport, school transport and cargo. The customer who needs footage to defend himself against a claim, and increasingly the one whose regulator or insurer demands it.

What it earns you: the highest ticket in the whole catalogue, and a bigger monthly fee because video consumes storage and data. A single bus with cameras bills like several cars with tracking.

What to watch — and this is where money is lost: quote storage and mobile data separately. Plenty of resellers quote video as if it were tracking and discover the cost of the data plan after they have signed.
